Talk to a lender in Columbis, it is going t be a local grant.

They had one last year, I don’t know about this year. The local lender will have all the information, including applications.

There aren’t any federal programs, but some states and cities still have local programs. Local realtors and lenders would be the ones who would know of any local programs that still exist. Your state and county website may have information as well (especially if there are any state programs). First-time homebuyer down payment assistance programs were pretty common, but many ran out of funds over the past few years (our county program stopped two years ago).

Yes!!! Ohio does offer an assistance program if you meet the income requirement as the program is designed to aid lower to median income buyers. See link

None. If you can’t manage a 3.5% down payment plus closing costs you don’t get a mortgage.
What you got was a Pre approval. You don’t get the actual mortgage till the lender sees the down payment and closing costs sitting in your checking or savings account
