Part of it has to do with the state of the mortgage market at the moment. FHA loans by their nature require more dilligence on the banks part to ensure they complete everything, dot the i’s and cross the t’s etc, and if you have ANY blemishes on your credit they will look at them closely. Just be patient and stay in contact with your banker give them a call and ask when you can expect to hear something. A good banker will keep you informed.

let’s just say that the banks are in one hell of a lot of trouble and if you can get a loan before the whole system collapses it will be a miracle. I know, I’m in the same situation.
